Chris Harrs has over 25 years of senior-level legal experience in the Entertainment and Consumer Packaged Goods industries. Prior to joining Spin Master, Mr. Harrs held both legal and business roles within the entertainment and technology industries.
Chris Harrs began his legal career in 1990 as a corporate law associate at the national law firm of McCarthy Tetrault LLP. Thereafter, he served as both Vice President Business and Legal Affairs and Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Universal Studios Canada Ltd./Universal Music, where he oversaw all legal aspects of its music, TV and film business. He left Universal to serve as Vice President – Strategic Development and General Counsel at Webhelp Inc., a CRM technology company which focused on online and wireless communications. Since 2004, Chris has served as General Counsel at Spin Master, one of the largest children’s toy and entertainment companies in the world, producing such global TV hit shows as Paw Patrol, Bakugan, and Rusty Rivets. Spin Master is also well known for creating and distributing globally successful toy lines such as Hatchimals, Meccano, Zoomer, Air Hogs, and creating digital content such as the Toca Boca apps. Chris graduated from The University of Western Ontario with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and LLB and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
